Glass / Complex / High Performance

We are experienced in technically advanced, complex and high performance aircraft. We have extensive experience of Garmin G1000 glass cockpit systems and can help you get the most from your aircraft by realising its full performance potential whilst aquiring single pilot management skills to ease workload and increase enjoyment.

Garmin G1000 Training

We are well versed in the G1000 system and can provide training under both VFR and IFR. The purpose of any training is to build knowledge so that its use becomes second nature which in turn boosts confidence. Subjects covered and flown include coupled approaches, holding, VNAV profiles and autopilot modes of operation. The best training is actually using the equipment on a route you would normally fly. This can be combined with other instruction for a High Performance or Complex logbook endorsement.

Complex Aircraft Endorsements

The FAA class an aircraft as 'Complex' if it has flaps, retractable undercarriage and a constant speed propellor. If you wish to fly such an aircraft (eg. Piper Arrow) then you must receive ground and flight training and a logbook endorsement from an authorised FAA instructor. Expect half to one day to complete depending on experience.

High Performance Endorsements

The FAA class an aircraft as 'High Performance' if it has an engine rated at more than 200 horsepower. If you wish to fly such an aircraft (eg Columbia 400, Piper Saratoga) then you must receive ground and flight training and a logbook endorsement from an authorised FAA instructor. Typically half to one day to complete depending on experience and can be combined with the Complex endorsement if required (eg. Piper Saratoga is Complex and High Performance).
